You’re All Surrounded Episode 1 Fashion Review
You’re All Surrounded is an action story featuring four rookie and one seasoned detectives and a whole lot of riot.
The pilot episode started with an action scene already. Eun Dae Goo (played by Lee Seung Gi), Eo Soo Sun (played by Go Ara), Park Tae Il (played by Ahn Jae Hyeon), Seo Pan Seok (played by Cha Seung Won) and Lee Eung Do (played by Sung Ji Ru) are inside a car, chasing after thugs.
The heavy traffic in the area led them to chase after the thugs on foot. They cornered him but he was able to get the other rookie detective, Ji Kook (played by Park Jung Min), hostage. Eun Dae Goo aimed a gun at the thug but despite Pan Seok’s objections, he pulled the trigger.
We’ll have to wait and see what happens to Eun Dae Goo and the thug because the drama too us to the past. A young Eo Soo Sun is confronting a guy who broke her friend’s heart. The guy cheated on her with a prettier girl.
Turns out the pretty girl, Shim Hye Ji, has a lot of male admirers. That includes this guy Kim Ji Young. He’s so besotted with Shim Hye Ji that he’s willing to get in a hair-pulling fight to prevent her from getting beaten up.
Everyone ended up at the police station. Eo Soo Sun got a well-deserved drubbing from her parents while Kim Ji Young was scolded by his mom all the way home. Eo Soo Sun and her parents watched Ji Young and his mom. Eo Soo Sun’s mom said there are rumors that Ji Young’s mom is actually a mistress, which is why she is raising her kid alone.
Ji Young is an incurable romantic. He manipulated the school’s broadcast system so he can play a song for Shim Hye Ji. But when the teachers came to reprimand the person responsible for that, they found Eo Soo Sun practicing there instead.
Eo Soo Sun got angry at Kim Ji Young for unfairly getting her in trouble. She confronted Ji Young but her temper led her to accuse Ji Young of being a mistress’ son.
Detective Seo Pan Seok has a murder case on his hands and the only witness to the crime is Ji Young’s mom. She doesn’t want to testify because she has already been threatened. But Pan Seok sent her photos of the deceased girl to change her mind.
That night, Ji Young saw the photos of the girl. His mom also thought about witnessing. That night, Ji Young asked his mom if the rumor is true. But his mom said his dad really died and she’s a single mom trying to raise him.
The next day, Ji Young cleared it up with Eo Soo Sun. He told her the rumors are not true. Soo Sun also apologized for the things she said.
When Ji Young went home that night, he found his mother sprawled on the floor, with their home trashed. Before he can call for rescue, the culprit came back. Ji Young hid under the bed. The masked culprit would have found him had his mom, who was still alive, stopped him. In the end, the guy strangled his mom to death.
Seo Pan Seok investigated the murder. Ji Young asked him why his mom changed her mind about testifying. He blamed Pan Seok because he wasn’t able to keep his promise of protecting her.
Ji Young refused Pan Seok’s offer of help. He holed up in his school instead. But while there, he remembered that the murderer talked to someone on the phone and that he is looking for a necklace. He called Pan Seok to tell him where he hid the necklace. Pan Seok told him to wait for him there as he is going to fetch him. But before he can, the masked thug appeared and chased him. He would have escaped him had it not been for Eo Soo Sun who was at the broadcasting room of the school and blurted out his whereabouts.
Ji Young barely escaped. That’s when he remembered that the only person who knows where he is is Seo Pan Seok. He figured Pan Seok is the one who had his mom killed.
Back to present day Gangnam. It’s the rookie’s first day on the job. Eo Soo Sun looks at the dilapidated Gangnam police station. Beside her is Ji Kook, who will probably provide comic relief in this drama.
Finally some Eun Dae Goo and Park Tae Il!
I’m so glad they aren’t trying to make Eo Soo Sun look like a guy. Love that trench coat with the denim shirt. Ahn Jae Hyeon looks flawless, as usual, but he’s even more dapper as Park Tae Il than his character in You Who Came From The Stars. Eun Dae Goo’s style has the most detective vibes, don’t you think?

The new recruits are introduced to the old ones. Seo Pan Seok arrives, looking none too happy that he’s getting rookies. Meanwhile, Dae Goo barely concealed his reaction at seeing Pan Seok again.
There’s another addition to the team – Kim Sa Kyung, who is in charge of the missing persons department. She looks a tad scary.

Gratuitous shot. Thank me later, fangirls. Lol!
The rookies introduced themselves to the seniors. Dae Goo gets on Seo Pan Seok’s bad side though for being too silent.
You’re All Surrounded Episode 2 Fashion Review
The chase we saw on the first part of the pilot episode resumes in this episode as the rookie team gets their first field job.
Eun Dae Goo isn’t that reckless after all. He replaced the gun with a stun gun and shot it at Ji Kook to incapacitate his captor.
It’s mayhem back at the precinct. A group of fangirls were being detained by the police. They saw Park Tae Il and immediately went into fangirl mode. Lol! Can’t blame them, Park Tae Il looks even better with only the white shirt on.
Looks like there’s a deep history running between Seo Pan Seok and Kim Sa Kyung. Pan Seok awkwardly approached her but she only looked at him with scary eyes and slapped him hard for something he did before. Confused much here.
Eo Soo Sun got perp’s details. They were on their way to transporting him when he escaped. Apparently, he got ahold of a cutter haphazardly placed on Soo Sun’s table and used it to cut his binding. Seriously? No handcuffs?
The chief went into sermon mode again after they caught the thug.
Eo Soo Sun swore she wasn’t the one who left the cutter on the table. To prove her innocence, she got the cutter checked for finger prints.
Meanwhile, Eun Dae Goo is up to something. He got in someone’s apartment and planted bugs. He also went to the chief’s office desk and got something. He was almost caught by Soo Sun.
Not only are they officemates, they’re also roomies! Eun Dae Goo bullied Ji Kook though so he can have the room all by himself. Ji Kook has no choice but to transfer to Tae Il’s room.
As expected, Dae Goo is indeed the missing Kim Ji Young. He visited his mom’s urn wearing this all-black ensemble. He’s really taking this detective thing seriously, isn’t he?
With the results of the finger print test on her hands, Eo Soo Sun marched to Seo Pan Seok’s desk and gave it to him. She really wants to deflect the blame.
Also in an all-black ensemble (or is that navy?) is Park Tae Il.
It appears that Tae Il is wearing a trench coat over his button down shirt and Dae Goo is wearing a hooded jacket. I’m not a big fan of Soo Sun’s bomber jacket but I think she wore it well.
Let’s not fail to note Ji Kook’s floral shirt. Lol! It’s a stark contrast to the austereness of the other three’s ensembles.

Meanwhile, Pan Seok and Eung Do were on a mission to catch a couple of girls who are in cahoots with restaurants. The girls use their credit cards to buy expensive stuff in the restaurant and will later not pay for them. Unfortunately, their mission was a bust since the girl they were trying to catch immediately knew they were detectives.
Eung Do said they better leave this mission to the rookies because their faces are that of seasoned detectives. Their cover will be immediately blown.
After the disaster that is their first field job, the four rookies are determined to turn things around. They are dressed for clubbing for their cover.
Eo Soo Sun gussied up in an all-black attire. The black blazer with polka dot piping is cute. She holed up in the bathroom to spy on girls who might be involved in the credit card scam.

Eun Dae Goo and Park Tae Il don’t look like they changed from their previous attire. Apparently, this is good enough for clubbing for them.
Dae Goo is actually a proficient profiler, much to the amazement of Tae Il. However, Tae Il’s charms are perfect for this mission as he was able to get a date from one their suspects.
Their mission is about to go downhill down when they got involved in a catfight. They unintentionally botched up a drug mission that two detectives were taking care of in the same club.
Because of that, they all went to jail. However, they were unable to tell their identity because their suspects are in the same precinct.
Pan Seok bailed them out. He was so mad that he told them to just quit already. That’s when Eun Dae Goo played the recording that Eo Soo Sun took. Eung Do realized they did not fail the mission but succeeded instead.
Before Pan Seok can make a comment, someone called on his cellphone. At the same time, a phone in Eun Dae Goo’s pocket keeps on vibrating. When the call on Pan Seok’s phone stopped, Dae Goo’s vibrating phone also stopped.
