The Producers Episode 2 Review
Being a show PD isn’t a walk in the park, as we all have seen in the previous episode. It’s tough not just for rookies but also for the veterans in the job.
Previously, the show revealed that Ra Joon Mo and Tak Ye Jin both live in the same place. Their back story revealed that they were childhood friends and that Ra Joon Mo used to like Tak Ye Jin. He liked her so much that he begged his mom to buy the apartment Ye Jin was living in so he can be close to her. When the 1997 IMF crisis hit, Ye Jin’s family was forced to sell their place and Ra Joon Mo’s family acquired it, making them rich in current times because of the many buildings they have acquired.
Ye Jin was on the verge of being evicted from her place. She was having a drink with Ra Joon Mo, wondering where she’ll live now. When they got drunk, Ra Joon Mo created a tissue contract where he’s allowing Ye Jin to live in his place until she gets her own.
That’s how these two ended up under the same roof.
Baek Seung Chan, whose illusions were shattered after finding out that the noona he has a crush on is now dating Ra Joon Mo, chanced upon her that night. He trashed Ra Joon Mo’s car to get revenge.

Seung Chan finally shows his father the damage to his car. They decided to have the damaged appraised first so Seung Chan can tell his sunbae how much she’ll be paying them.
Ra Joon Mo was on his way to his car when he noticed the trash bag left by Seung Chan the night before. Lol.
It’s time for the rookie PDs to be assigned to their shows. Lo and behold, Seung Chan gets added to the members of 2 Days, 1 Night.
Get Baek Seung Chan’s Hoodie (Kim Soo Hyun Hoodie):
Uniqlo Men Sweat Pullover Hoodie, $19.90
Seung Chan awkwardly enters the 2 Days, 1 Night meeting room. They paid him so very little attention as they were all busy trying to figure out how to tell the current actresses of the show that the show is being axed.
Ye Jin talks to Seung Chan about the damage cost and finds out it could cost more than $800. Already broke, Ye Jin blusters her way out of it and asks Seung Chan if there’s any way they can get a cheaper price.
Again, I’m seeing a reflection of her style in It’s Okay, That’s Love here. Can’t blame them, high-waist wide-legged pants sure are hot these days. Also love the Breton striped top although I feel like it’s much suited for an autumn or winter drama.
Ye Jin’s top and pants are both from SJYP but couldn’t find them online.
Get Tak Ye Jin’s Ring (Gong Hyo Jin Ring):
J. Estina Red Éclair Doppin Dot Ring, 83,790 Won
Cindy’s agency’s CEO is one heck of a terrifying woman. She slaps writers, scolds PDs and pretty much gives everyone a hard time if she doesn’t get her way. Of course, she favors Cindy a lot as she’s the money maker in the company.
Cindy wears yet again another black ensemble.
Cindy’s Bag (IU Bag):
Get Cindy’s Shoes (IU Shoes):
Hollyshop Metallic Shoes, 43,000 Won
Time for some Kim Jong Kook scene! Looks like he’s in the bad graces of the company’s CEO.
At the meeting earlier, everyone decided the best person to give the news to the oldest member of the group is Seung Chan. He met with the veteran actress but wasn’t able to make his point across.
That night during the show’s farewell party, the veteran actress attended without knowing that the show is being axed. Everyone blamed Seung Chan about it.
It wasn’t completely a bad day. Seung Chan was sulking in his broken office chair when he received the call from the veteran actress. Turned out she left a present for Ra Joon Mo. She was gracious about leaving the show and even told Seung Chan he did a great job that day.
Seung Chan was on his way to deliver the present to Ra Joon Mo when he chanced upon Cindy at the steps, waiting for her manager to get an umbrella. Seung Chan offered his umbrella but made Cindy promise to return it to the front desk, else, the company will deduct it from his salary.
Cindy finally wears the leather jacket she was clutching earlier. Again, I feel like this style is more suited for an autumn or winter drama. But then again, Cindy’s image isn’t the type to wear pastel colors.
Get Cindy’s Leather Jacket (IU Leather Jacket):
DSQUARED2 Peplum Biker Jacket, £2838.09
After failing to get a discount on the car’s repair expenses, Ye Jin warned Baek Seung Chan that there is a way to get fired during his probationary period. One of them is to commit three mistakes. He already has one.
Ra Joon Mo still fees bad about the way things ended. But he quickly felt better when Seung Chan delivered the actress’ message and present.
As for Cindy, she escaped her manager, went to a tent store and ate fish cakes.
Ye Jin and Joon Mo’s outfits echo in this scene, right? They weren’t aware of a Seung Chan observing them from afar.
Seung Chan saw both of them enter the same apartment and immediately jumped to conclusions.
A flashback also revealed that Joon Mo kissed Ye Jin during their contract signing.
