That Winter, The Wind Blows Review Episode 1: Oh Soo (played by Jo In Sung) is a notorious gambler. After being left behind by his mother when he was a baby, he led quite a jaded life. Together with his friend and dongsaeng Park Jin Sung (Kim Beom), they earn money through gambling.
They have another friend, Oh Soo, who shares the same name as Oh Soo (Jo In Sung). He lives with them as his mother is already dead and his father cast him away when he was young. He swears he has a rich dad and a sister waiting for him but the two don’t believe him.
The sister he is talking about is Oh Young. She was the one who was left behind with their dad when their parents divorced. Unbeknownst to Oh Soo, their dad is now teetering on death’s door and her sister has gone blind.
Oh Young is being cared of by her stepmom and her father’s friend. One day the mailman came and she was the one who received the letters. She found out that her brother has been sending letters for her but for some reason they haven’t been giving it to her.
She went to see her brother but the other Oh Soo (Jo In Sung) was the one who entertained her. He told her he shares the same name with her brother. But while talking to her, the police came to arrest him.
Oh Soo escaped and left Oh Young. He met the other Oh Soo, Young’s brother, and he ran away with him too. He was accidentally hit by a car and died. Oh Soo was captured by the police and went to prison. He was framed for stealing money.
He was released a year later and the people who thought he took the money were still after him. Much to his surprise, someone from the PL group came to see him. They mistook him for the other Oh Soo, Oh Young’s brother.
That Winter, The Wind Blows Fashion Recap Episode 1:
Song Hye Gyo’s character in That Winter, The Wind Blows, is the complete antithesis of her character in the last drama of hers that I watched, Full House. She is frighteningly collected and reserved.
But that is entirely understandable since she is living as a blind woman in a house full of people who is most likely interested in her for money.
Her style also reflects her personality. She keeps up with the latest trends and styles but doesn’t overly deck herself in them. Her accessories are also fairly minimal, opting only for earrings in most scenes. Her hairstyle is kept simple too – usually in her naturally straight coif or pulled up in a pony tail.
Oh Young’s cardigan and dress is from Jil Sander Navy.
The other two main characters are comprised of the gambling tandem Oh Soo, played by Jo In Sung and Park Jin Sung, played by Kim Beom. These guys could play the role of highly paid print ad models.
Oh Soo, with his impeccable suit and neatly combed hair, looks like he frequents Brooks Brothers while Jun Sung looks like he just got off duty from his modelling job.
Oh Young wears her dotted dress at home and pairs it with a luxurious looking coat. Her dress is from Zucca and coat from Zadig & Voltaire.
Moon Hee Sun takes care of the casual street style in this drama. This ensemble is made up of a batwing dress top, plaid button down shirt and red jeggings.
The dress top and the plaid shirt are both from Style Nanda while the jeggings are from Jack & Jill

A gratuitous close up screenshot of Oh Young just because her skin is so perfect. Even her make-up is not flashy but it certainly adds up to her over-all pristine allure.

She may be blind but she does have faultless sense of style. Looks like stepmom is doing a great job with her ensembles.
She wore a coat from A.P.C., black dress from Orla Kiely, muffler from Hermes, bag from Ryuikei and boots from Front Row.

Because of her disability, she doesn’t wear sky high shoes. But this doesn’t stop her from being stylish. These shoes are both sensible and stylish. They even go with nearly anything in your closet.
Get Oh Young’s Lace Up boots:
Front Row Ange Lace Up Walker Boots, 169,800 Won (in brown and black)
She meets up with Oh Soo who looks debonair and dashing in a maroon suit. In the past few dramas that I have watched, I’m so used to the same old rococo-inspired style that seeing a male lead in a different style is like breathing fresh air.
Seo Hyo Rim is also in this drama. She plays a love sick girl who will do anything to keep Oh Soo, including framing him and getting him in jail for a year while she is away filming. Her style is street chic. She rocked a mini skirt and thigh high boots but keeps it tasteful with an oversized trench coat.
Oh Young shows up for a presentation wearing a lovely knitted top from Markus Lupfer. The stark simplicity of the gray knit was offset by the sequined collar. And as you can see, the people who styled Young took advantage of it and did away with the necklace.
Get Oh Young’s Sweater:
Looks like someone is a fan of Hermes. Oh Young wears yet again another silk muffler from the luxury brand and even pairs up a Hermes coat with it.
