Marry Him If You Dare Review Episode 1: Na Mi Rae (played by Yoon Eun Hye) works at a call center. Her whole life is mediocre and she is barely doing well with her work. In fact, most people around her, including her brother, doesn’t expect too much from her.
Unbeknownst to her, her life is going to have a major change. Na Mi Rae from the future goes back to year 2013 to make changes in her life – starting with her love life. She meets 2013 Na Mi Rae at work. 2013 Na Mi Rae didn’t believe Na Mi Rae ahjumma came from the future but the latter eventually convinced her. She told her to switch lanes on the way home that day, which she did.
It turned out that she could have been in an accident with Kim Shin (played by Lee Dong Gun), an announcer from a local channel. Kim Shin is her future husband and the future Na Mi Rae supposedly suffered a lot in the marriage that she wants present Na Mi Rae to avoid meeting him. She succeeded in averting the fated accident so Kim Shin collided with Seo Yoo Kyung’s (played by Han Chae Ah) car instead.
Future Na Mi Rae helped 2013 Na Mi Rae to win tickets to Jeju Island. This is where Park Se Joo (played by Jung Yong Hwa) met her and fell in love with her.
Park Se Joo is actually the heir to the company where Kim Shin is working. The acting CEO is his aunt. But Se Joo wants to start from the bottom so she applied at the network as a VJ. No one knows he is actually rich.
Present Na Mi Rae, after getting some lecture from future Na Mi Rae at the island, quit her job at the call center and plans to become either a writer or a public servant. But before she can put all these plans in motion, she got into an accident with Kim Shin.
Marry Him If You Dare Fashion Recap Episode 1:
Yoon Eun Hye’s style in Marry Him If You Dare is staggeringly different to her sophisticated style in her previous drama, I Miss You. Whereas her role there is a fashion designer clad in all forms of chic garb, her character here couldn’t care less about fashion. She even sports a perm, which they jokingly referred to as poodle hair.
Her stripes bag is from Celine. She was wearing a pair of white sneakers in this outfit.

Lee Dong Gun’s style is definitely formal with nary a hair out of place. It’s a bit of a letdown though because his job prevents us from seeing him in more casual clothes.
Although we initially see Jung Yong Hwa in an outfit that will give Lee Dong Gun a run for his money, he shows his more relaxed outfits in the latter scenes.
Yoo Kyung is the typical second female protagonist (or is she an antagonist?). Her style is very feminine. We suspect we are going to see her in dresses quite a lot.
Get Han Chae Ah’s Dress:
JJ Jigott Dress, 145,640 Won
Park Se Joo changes to a more casual outfit in this rugged ensemble. He actually layered two jackets over a shirt and jeans combo.
Get Jung Yong Hwa’s Brown Jacket:
Sieg Fahrenheit Jacket, 184,300 Won
Get Jung Yong Hwa’s Leather Jacket:
Kai-Aakmann Leather Jacket, 629,910 Won
Get Jung Yong Hwa’s Shoes:
Pointer by Platform Caine boots, 225,300 Won
What is this Na Mi Rae? The pieces, when styled differently, would complete a cute outfit but all of them in this ensemble just aren’t working for me. Yoon Eun Hye’s Jacket is from 84 over e, which she purportedly owns.
Now this style is heaps better. Na Mi Rae had on an ice cream printed sweatshirt that she paired up with pink pants.
Get Yoon Eun Hye’s Sweatshirt:
Wildfox Sweatshirt Ice Cream Terry, $169 AUD
She was quick to change into this hoodie ensemble though.
Get Yoon Eun Hye’s Hoodie:
That swimsuit she was flashing? Yep, that’s LV.
Get Yoon Eun Hye’s Swimsuit:
Louis Vuitton Two Piece Bathing Suit, $342.10
Here’s Lee Dong Gun in another suit.
So I really hope she’d dress up in more colorful clothes later in the story. Her dress is again from 84 over e.
She really has the whole casual look down pat. She was sporting a denim button down worn as outerwear in here.
Get Yoon Eun Hye’s Denim Shirt:
Current/Eliott The Shredded Shirt, $254.00
Get Yoon Eun Hye’s Shirt:
IRO Adams Tee, 165,000 Won
I’m still warming up to this drama. I’m not sure I’m totally into the Lee Dong Gun-Yoon Eun Hye pairing but that’s mostly because Dong Gun’s character isn’t the most charming one. We’ll see in the next few eps.
