Hotel King Kdrama Episode 6 Fashion Review
The hotel’s kitchen is on fire and trapped inside it are Ah Mo Ne and the employee Eun Song Jae.
Still oblivious to the goings-on at the hotel is Cha Jae Wan, whose solitude was interrupted by Chae Kyung. Chae Kyung is also a fine dresser. Hers is the quintessential second female lead style – mostly in pencil skirts, blazers and trench coats.
Woo Hyun, who was already off-duty, came back to the hotel and found out that the kitchen is on fire and Ah Mo Ne is inside it. Woo Hyun rushed to the kitchen. He doused himself with a bucket of water and barged in the burning kitchen.
I wish Jae Wan can become more lax in his off-duty outfits just like Woo Hyun. I’m craving for some serious men style in this drama, although this is hardly serious fashion. Woo Hyun’s casual get-up here is just enough to satiate me.
Jae Wan arrived shortly after and insisted on going inside despite Chae Kyung’s attempts to stop him. He found Woo Hyun trying to get Ah Mo Ne to safety. They were trapped by flaming beams. A heavy shelf was about to fall on Mo Ne and Song Jae but Jae Wan stopped it with his body. He told Woo Hyun to get Mo Ne out.
Mi Nyeo wasn’t in the hotel. Instead, she was confronting Joong Goo, who looks a tad happy about the news of the fire.
Mo Ne was taken to the hospital. Jae Wan watched over her.
Cha Jae Wan also sustained injuries from the fire. But rather than stay at the hospital, he went home. Chae Kyung was waiting for him. She knows that Jae Wan has germophobia and will definitely refuse treatment so she brought a first aid kit to him. He refused her help though and insisted on treating himself.
Ah Mo Ne finally wakes up and remembers very little of the fire incident. She thought it was Woo Hyun who saved her and feels very grateful towards him.
She looks none the worse for wear though. It appears that Mo Ne can’t stand the thought of wearing hospital gowns that she needed to add that cardigan and that flower. Lolol!
Rather than correct Mo Ne, Woo Hyun let her think he saved her. That’s because Jae Wan already warned him not to tell Mo Ne that he was there.
Jae Wan, who looks noticeably different in this plaid coat (huzzah!) checked in on Song Jae. The boy’s clutching an envelope containing some money. He immediately owned up to the fire incident and said it’s okay if they accuse him of arson. Only when Jae Wan said he can go to prison for attempted murder did Song Jae lose his composure. The fire did put many lives in danger and that constitutes murder.
Mo Ne is back to work! She’s really a huge fan of white ensembles, isn’t she? Can’t blame her, she rocks the monochrome look so well!
Jae Wan approached her and asked about how she’s faring after the incident but Mo Ne lashed out to him and said he’s probably happy that it happened to her.
Ah Mo Ne is wearing these shoes:

I’m also smitten with Mo Ne’s make-up. She rocks the lip gradation trick so well.
Poor Jae Wan!
The fire incident is causing the hotel’s stock value to drop down. Everyone’s concerned that she isn’t fit to be the company’s chairwoman. But Ah Mo Ne stood up for herself and said she will make the most out of the three months given to her.
Mo Ne likes to pile on the jewelry. But it works because she chooses simple cuts. Otherwise, it would have looked garish and tacky.

This guy constantly picks on Ko San’s lack of English-speaking skills. Thankfully, Woo Hyun is there to defend him.
Chae Kyung is revered by the hotel staff because of her elegance and grace. I’m not usually a fan of the business-like pencil skirt attires they let the second female leads wear but I like this one. The printed pencil skirt isn’t matronly at all. Chae Kyung looks sharp and polished here.
The chambermaids started comparing Chae Kyung with Ah Mo Ne. Mo Ne heard what they’re saying though and wondered why they consider Chae Kyung graceful.
She decided to learn more about Chae Kyung’s secret. Lol. Chae Kyung showed her an album of the people she looks up to. That includes some famous female celebrities and personalities. She says Mo Ne only needs to emulate these women to become graceful. Lol.
These two finally caved in to their curiosity. They opened up Baek Mi Nyeo’s hidden box and found…nothing incriminating. Just a box full of sweets! This made them laugh though because it made Mi Nyeo more human in their eyes.
There’s the white again although she deviated from her usual white on white on white looks and added a punch of color (and texture!) care of her jacket.
Mi Nyeo advised Mo Ne to make use of Chae Jae Wan because she’s going to need his help if she wants a shot at accomplishing the stipulated goals.
To pick up the slack, Mo Ne started working. Her printed sleepwear reminds me of Moschino. But after some digging, I found out it’s not from the brand.

Jae Wan’s looking mighty fine in that suit, no matter how often I complain about his boring wardrobe.
Mo Ne was checking the video someone sent her when she nearly drowned in the pool area. She found out the guy who pushed her was not Cha Jae Wan, contrary to her original assumptions.
I’m a huge fan of her accessories! Love those rings. And this proves that a bomber jacket can be feminine and classy.

Mo Ne visited Song Jae and told him to go back to work. Song Jae is still angsty though and refused to listen to Mo Ne.
Here’s Mo Ne’s full outfit. It’s a monochromatic look again. I should be bored to tears by now but because Mo Ne plays it up with volume and texture and fine details, I really don’t mind the one note color palette. Also, the grid overlay of the dress reminds me so much of Carven!

Woo Hyun finally confessed to Ah Mo Ne that it wasn’t him who saved her from the fire. It was Cha Jae Wan. He urged her to go to Jae Wan and apologize to him for thinking he’s the villain.
After mustering some courage, Mo Ne went in Jae Wan’s place and saw his unclothed body full of fresh wounds and old scars.
