Healer Episode 2 Review
Jung Hoo, aka Healer, got a new job. That is to find a girl named Chae Young Shin and get her DNA sample.
Chae Young Shin is an aspiring reporter. She works for Sunday News, a tabloid of sorts whose idea of news-worthy reports is the personal lives of celebrities. But despite that, Young Shin is serious about being a reporter.
She lives with her dad. Their home has a café and law office. The café is her dad’s side line while the law office is his real work.

Jung Hoo stalks her, attempting to get a hair sample while in the bus. But it’s a bit hard on healer as Young Shin’s a sharp girl.
This being a winter drama and all, it is not surprising to find the main leads all bundled up. Young Shin is neck high in layers while Jung Hoo looks nondescript in his all-black attire.
We must not forget the kdrama staple though: the always-present backpack! Although is the interest switching to slouchy backpacks now instead of the popular solid-structured square ones?
No backpacks for Jung Hoo though as he favors this crossbody bag more. He does his impressive physics skills and knocks off a biker.

This also knocked off Young Shin. While everyone is distracted, Jung Hoo did what ahjumma Min Ja suggested and stole Young Shin’s bag.
To his dismay, there’s nothing in the bag to get DNA samples from – no hairbrushes or a toothbrush.
To make matters more complicated, the sharp Young Shin found him and knew he stole her bag. She trapped him inside but Jung Hoo managed to get out to capture her. He held her down while he clipped her finger nails.
How cute is Jung Hoo’s side kick?
Kim Moon Hoo frequently gets into trouble with his boss/ex-girlfriend Min Jae because he always defies company rules.
Moon Ho is close to his noona, his brother’s wife, Myung Hee. From the flashback, we can see that Myung Hee was good to him when he was a kid.
But Moon Ho has suspicions against his brother, so much that he even put a hidden camera in one of the books in his brother’s library so he can spy on him.
The many faces of Jung Hoo, lol. Redefining the term style chameleon.
That shirt looks like it has seen one too many wash cycles.
What do you know? Nerdy Jung Hoo is still super cute! lol. His glasses are the 3.1 Phillip Lim Belinda eyeglasses.
The person who got him to spy on Young Shin asked another job – to find out if Young Shin was abused as a kid and if her childhood was fun. She seems to be at ease in her home, with her father.
Chae Young Shin’s jacket here is from Codes Combine.
To make things easier for Jung Hoo, he placed a tracking device on Young Shin’s bag. And again, Young Shin’s heavily decked out in clothes.
While she was out doing her job, which is pretty much just checking cars to see which one of those is owned by the person she is stalking, she saw a woman being physically abused in a car.
The woman got in the same elevator as her although the woman paid her no attention.
Young Shin couldn’t shake off the feeling that something is off with the woman so she followed her. Turned out the woman was about to commit suicide. She saved the woman and told her the feeling of being abused will fade away just like what happened to her. She told the woman her story. She was beaten as a kid and was in so much pain until her dad came along and saved her.
Jung Hoo was filming the entire scene. He was moved by Young Shin’s story.
Meanwhile we again see a young Moon Sik talking to a young Moon Ho. He saw a young Myung Hee talking to one of their friends. He likes Myung Hee but couldn’t get up the nerve to tell her, especially when she clearly favors the other friend.
Go Sung Chul, the guy Jung Hoo took so much trouble saving in the train in the previous episode was found dead. Detective Dong Won came over to inspect the crime scene. From the looks of it, the guy was flung off a passing train.
Meanwhile, Chae Young Shin took the woman she rescued, Yeon Hee, home.
Jung Hoo followed her. To his surprise, he found a photo of Kim Moon Ho and himself on Young Shin’s board.
