You Who Came From The Stars / Man From Another Star Episode 10 Fashion Review:
The secrets to Do Min Joon’s character are being unravelled one by one and I find myself dreading the imminent end of this drama and helplessly waiting for the next episode to be subbed at the same time. Yes, welcome to the roller coaster ride that is You Who Came from the Stars!
So last episode, Hui Kyung met Do Min Joon in the latter’s lobby and started asking him who he really is. Min Joon managed to evade this once again by saying it’s not possible for him to look the same as the guy Hui Kyung saw since it happened 12 years ago.
Cheon Song Yi, who is still dressed in that stunning lavender-pink shirtdress (I mean, Do Min Joon, how can you think straight when such a vision is parading in front of you?) confronted him about the shard, which suspiciously looks like a part of her car’s broken headlights. Of course, master evader Min Joon escapes this once again by saying her headlights are not the only ones that can produce shards when broken or something to that effect.
She pestered him about seeing the wound. When she peeled off the bandage, she was surprised to find the wound all healed up already.
Song Yi left Min Joon’s apartment but did not leave with Hui Kyung. She asked to be dropped off in President Hong’s fetching apartment instead. Clearly, she has a love for French country interior design.
Song Yi took her gorgeous sleep outfits with her as she made herself comfortable in a boxy sweater and loose pants. Love boxy sweaters. You can literally roll out of bed and go somewhere else wearing it and nobody would be the wiser!
Cheon Song Yi’s Sweater is from:
Burgundy Coca Cola Motif L/S Crew Neck Sweater
Her pants are from Christopher Kane.
President Hong, apparently, has developed a tendre for the dashing Do Min Joon.
Hui Kyung took it upon himself to have Song Yi’s security lock replaced. And what do we expect Hui Kyung to be in? Personally, I love the silhouettes and the pieces. I’m just not raving about his color combinations.
Mi Yeon berated her daughter for not telling them about her situation. This must be my favorite outfit of hers. I’d wear that red coat and collared top myself. Aren’t detailed collars like this so fancy? You don’t even need a neck accessory. The fancy collar alone does the job.
And which party did Yoon Jae come from that he looks this good? Love the contrast of the pinstripe suit and the printed collar. Seriously, Hui Kyung can take some styling tips from him.
Song Yi, on the other hand, looks lovely in this electric blue leopard printed sweater. And take note of the ever-present bandeau.
Yoon Jae decided to stay in Song Yi’s home. Hui Kyung agrees.
Cheon Song Yi’s sweater is the:
Maje Blue Daleo Leopard Sweatshirt (currently sold out)
Her headband is from Black Muse.
Meanwhile, Jae Kyung’s obsessive nature takes him to questioning the event that took place in the elevator. He still can’t figure out how Do Min Joon managed to beat the elevator in reaching the ground floor.
Attorney Jang warned Min Joon about not meddling in Song Yi’s affairs because this might potentially expose his true nature. And it looks like Do Min Joon is taking a chance on something else: his coat choices. This is the closest thing to a printed piece we are ever going to see him in.
The detectives broke the news to Yoo Ra’s sister that Yoo Ra was pregnant before she died. The sister confessed that Yoo Ra was indeed seeing someone.
That someone is this guy here. Even Hui Kyung is wondering why Jae Kyung suddenly developed a fondness for Song Yi these days.
Do Min Joon finally allowed himself to watch the contents of the flash drive. And sure enough, there are videos of Jae Kyung and Yoo Ra. We are assuming Jae Kyung doesn’t know he is being filmed, otherwise, he would have sent Yoo Ra to an earlier demise.
Look who is amusing herself with silly things just so she can steer her thoughts away from Do Min Joon! Cheon Song Yi’s fondness for soliloquies never fails to crack me up. And how much do you love her orange top and pants? She really has to be so coordinated at home, doesn’t she?
Cheon Song Yi’s sweater and pants are from Philipp Plein but I couldn’t find the orange sweatshirt version.
She got a call alright but it’s not from Do Min Joon. The call came from the real estate agent saying she is behind payments on her rent. And since she has a bad credit standing with the bank (gee, thanks mom), she can’t get a loan.
She contemplated selling her precious car first. Horrified, she took it back and crooned to her precious. Well, nobody will ever suspect you’re now a pauper Song Yi. Not in that attire anyway. Spot-on styling! The pop of neon yellow worked wonders in making her outfit even more interesting.
You have to see Song Yi’s bag collection. It’s extensive! And with their price tag, it’s little wonder Song Yi treats them like her own flesh and blood.
Cheon Song Yi’s bag is the:
But because she is hard-pressed for money, she is forced to sell some of her expensive belongings. Unfortunately, because of her bad rep, nobody wants to buy her stuff.
There are pleated skirts and then there are pleated skirts. This one looks like a cross between a boxy pleated skirt and a frill skirt! It looks so perfect when worn with that blazer! And her bag. I didn’t know Song Yi also rocks crossbody bags! I thought she was more the tote kind of girl.

Stroke of genius! Song Yi decided to sell her stuff online. Cue Samsung product placement. As much as I’m eyeing her printed top and pants, I’m really just focusing on her camera. Drool.
Cheon Song Yi’s two-piece outfit is from the:
Do Min Joon’s normal day is about to get really busy. He has been getting random text inquiries about the prices of the bags. Apparently, Song Yi used his number when she advertised her bags.
The mom is back and this time, she brought not just her tweed jacket and awesome ensemble with her. She also brought bad news. Song Yi’s former agency is now asking for more money for her previous breach of contract. Yoon Jae in his navy sweater just looks worried for Song Yi.
How did Song Yi’s blue top and pants ended up looking like this? Must be the lighting. She signed up Do Min Joon to be her second when she goes to her agency the next. She said she needs Min Joon’s brains to save face.
Here comes the most kick-ass entrance scene I’ve ever seen in my life. Song Yi brought her styling A-game on in this equestrian-inspired outfit. Complete with knee-high boots. Because knee-high boots are instant confidence-boosters. Take it from Song Yi.
Song Yi’s jacket, boots and earrings are all from Ralph Lauren and her blouse and pants are from Dolce & Gabbana.
Do Min Joon looks just like his usual self in a white shirt he topped off with a grey knitted cardigan and a coat. His legal faculties came handy that day because Song Yi got off the demands for more compensation.
Kim Soo Hyun’s Coat is from:
Everything turned out well, except when they met Se Mi and her team downstairs. Se Mi might be the agency’s star now but Song Yi clearly outclassed her in this scene. That fur coat didn’t hold a candle to Song Yi’s intimidating high fashion attire. And did someone notice the PA’s antennae? So much lulz.

Se Mi had the gall to invite them for coffee. While Song Yi’s uppity and rude manner is something to note, it was Se Mi’s innocent act that grated on my nerves. Just get me out of this awkward scene that got even more awkward when the coffee accidentally spilled and the manager and PA rushed to Se Mi’s side while no one helped Song Yi.
On the other hand, Do Min Joon showed a moment of real gentlemanliness by helping Song Yi out and getting her out of there. Cue the collective awws because he really seemed genuinely saddened by Song Yi’s plight.
Song Yi wanted to spend more time with him but Do Min Joon was clearly not going to make it easier for her.
After failing to get an invitation from Do Min Joon, Song Yi pestered her brother to give Min Joon side dishes. Wait, what is Yoon Jae doing, looking all too cute when he’s just at home watching E.T.?
Yoon Jae proves he can be a dutiful brother. Do Min Joon, who has already shed off his attire from earlier, accepted the side dishes.
Song Yi nagged his brother to get the container back but Yoon Jae told her to get it herself. Song Yi seized this chance to glam up!
Hilariously, she turned her walk in closet into a runway as she picked something that she thought would sway Do Min Joon’s heart. Also, I’d love to see Song Yi in a tulle dress. Would it suit her personality, you think?
Ta da! Song Yi finally opted for this lace fit and flare frock. She draped a boxy cropped jacket over her shoulders and donned a pair of glittery pumps to complete the look. She even went the extra mile and pulled her hair up in a bun! Why is she so adorable? I can’t even.
Unfortunately for her, Do Min Joon didn’t take the bait and sent her off after giving her the container back.

She agonized over this affront to her appeal, much to his brother’s annoyance. The entire sleepwear section of her wardrobe must be riddled with matchy matchy things. Here’s yet again another pairing. You gotta love that pencil shaving print on it.
Cheon Song Yi’s Two-piece outfit is from:
Se Mi brought her brother some food and change of clothing. Her brother has been busy what with the latest progress on Yoo Ra’s case. Speaking of, he asked her if she knows of any guy linked to Yoo Ra. Se Mi remembered that scene in the yacht when Song Yi asked Jae Kyung about his relationship to Yoo Ra. She could have ended the investigation right there and then but kept mum about it. She must have been thinking that if Yoo Ra’s death is finalized as a murder case, then Song Yi will be absolved. It will once again threaten her position.

Jae Kyung is getting closer to being caught…by his own brother! Hui Kyung walks in his room to find his phone ringing. He answered it and heard a woman’s voice asking Jae Kyung to get her out of there.
Even Do Min Joon is ready to take steps against Jae Kyung. He called up Detective Yoo Seok and asked him to meet up because he is going to surrender something to him. What he didn’t know is that there’s a bug somewhere in the room and his conversation is noted by Jae Kyung’s minion.
Song Yi finally had enough of her fashion parade and settled in this velvet robe instead. She asked Do Min Joon to meet up in the terrace and confessed about wanting to be close to him all the time! This coming from a self-possessed girl! Do Min Joon was rendered speechless.
Cheon Song Yi’s robe is from Calvin Klein and her headband is from Kate and Kelly.
Looks like the confession took its toll on Song Yi. She is looking the worse for wear even in this chic cape coat.
The cape is from Blumarine but I can’t find it anywhere online except the long version:
Her pants are from Claudie Pierlot
She visited President Hong and asked her for advice. Her friend told her to act and dress like a simple girl. Lose the accessories (yes those pins on your sweater, Song Yi), she advised. Personally, I don’t mind the pins.
She got a call from a potential buyer. Have you guys noted Song Yi’s choice of ring for the day? Pretty rad, huh?
Someone knocked detective Yoo Seok out. Jae Kyung’s minion, who else?
Do Min Joon waited in vain. He is looking extra austere in his coat with exaggerated collars. He looks like he is about to go under cover or something.
Do Min Joon’s Coat is also from:
Codes Combine Coat
Here’s a better look at Song Yi’s ensemble. The cape coat has a tartan print on it but with Aztec details at the hem. She wore this with the black pin-embellished sweater and a pair of black pants.
Cheon Song Yi invaded Do Min Joon’s home, looking for him. She even gussied up for the occasion in this chic wrap dress.
Her wrap dress is from DVF. Her headband is from Vintage Hollywood but only the blue version is available.
But Do Min Joon is out fighting her battles. He followed Jae Kyung to this abandoned place. Jae Kyung threatened to shoot him if he didn’t hand over the flash drive. He was also true to his threats. He shot at Do Min Joon but the latter suddenly vanished.
Yes Jae Kyung. This is what he meant when he said you can’t kill him. He can teleport and stuff. You’ve been warned.
This episode’s epilogue is about Song Yi’s mental breakdown. She still has trouble coming to terms with her feelings for Do Min Joon as evidenced by those rings under her eyes and her dishevelled state.
But it appears that the more insane she gets, the cuter her coat choices become. This cape thing is a sure conversation-starter!
